Ram Temple Trust Interviews 18 CEO Candidates

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has started interviewing candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer.

A three-member selection committee, comprising Justice Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi, and Suresh Haware, began one-on-one interviews with 18 shortlisted candidates on Tuesday at the Ram temple complex in Ayodhya.

The selection process is expected to continue on Wednesday, after which the panel will recommend three names to the Trust for final consideration. The appointment is likely to be announced in the Trust meeting scheduled for September 2.

The Trust had received over 5,200 applications for the CEO post, which were shortlisted to 18 candidates after nearly 20 days of scrutiny. The shortlist includes retired bureaucrats, former senior corporate executives, retired defence officials, and candidates with experience in managing large temples and religious trusts.

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall management of the Ram temple affairs, including administrative, financial, and operational matters. The CEO will be appointed initially for a three-year term and is expected to reside in Ayodhya during the tenure.

The recruitment drive comes after an ongoing investigation into alleged embezzlement of temple donations. The Trust had recently reconstituted a committee of seers to oversee religious affairs of the temple while the probe into the donation theft continues.

The CEO position requires candidates to be Indian citizens, practising Hindus, and graduates between 50 and 70 years of age, with a minimum of 20 years of experience in administration, finance, or management. Prior experience in managing temples or religious institutions has been given preference.

The appointment of a CEO is seen as a key step in the management of the Ram temple, which has been marred by controversy in recent times. The Trust is expected to make a formal announcement about the appointment in the coming weeks.

The Ram temple complex in Ayodhya is a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus, and the management of the temple is a critical task. The CEO will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the temple and its associated activities.

The selection committee is expected to complete the interview process by Wednesday, after which the Trust will make a final decision on the appointment. The new CEO will play a crucial role in overseeing the management of the Ram temple and ensuring its smooth operation.

In conclusion, the appointment of a CEO for the Ram temple is a significant development, and the selection process is underway. The Trust is expected to make a formal announcement about the appointment in the coming weeks, which will mark a new chapter in the management of the temple.
