Navi Mumbai FDA Seizes ₹12.23 Lakh Dairy Products

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seized 1,309 kg/litres of milk and dairy products worth ₹12.23 lakh from three establishments in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, on August 19.

The inspections were conducted at Bhaskar Dairy, P.K. Dairy, and Vijay Dairy in the Mahape MIDC area as part of a special drive against violations of food safety norms.

At Bhaskar Dairy, officials seized 473 kg of skimmed milk powder and 75 kg of medium-fat paneer, valued at ₹1.83 lakh.

P.K. Dairy had 761 litres of milk seized, worth ₹2.40 lakh, comprising 393 litres of loose buffalo milk and 368 litres of loose cow milk.

Vijay Dairy had 141 litres of milk seized, worth approximately ₹1.10 lakh, with the milk suspected to be substandard.
