UP CM Yogi Adityanath Gives 4 Gifts To 3.54 Lakh Rasoiyas

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given four major gifts to 3.54 lakh Rasoiyas in Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the Raksha Bandhan festival. The announcement was made at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Sunday.

The gifts include an increased honorarium of ₹3,000 instead of ₹2,000, assistance of ₹2 lakh through State Bank of India in case of an incident or accident, free cashless health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh annually, and an increased amount for uniforms from ₹500 to ₹1,000.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that the honorarium of Rasoiyas was ₹1,000 nine years ago, and it was not always paid. He credited PM Modi for opening Jan Dhan accounts for 55 crore people, which has enabled direct transfer of money into their accounts through DBT.

The Basic Education Council has held discussions with the State Bank of India to ensure that accounts are opened for Rasoiyas, into which their entire honorarium will be credited. In case of an unfortunate incident, the bank will immediately provide ₹2 lakh.

CM Yogi Adityanath took a dig at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying that the poor were never on SP's agenda. He said that the BJP's double-engine government will resolve all problems and that people will wipe out SP forever in the next election.

The CM said that a kitchen is not just about filling a child's stomach with food, but also a campaign to make childhood healthy and strong. He added that the state government has ensured that Rasoiyas and their family members can receive treatment at any government hospital or empaneled hospital, with an insurance cover of ₹5 lakh every year.
