MP High Court Sets Up Four Fast-Track Courts

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has designated four special fast-track courts to handle cases related to irregularities in public examinations, including paper leaks.

These courts will be responsible for trying offenses under the Lok Pariksha (Anuchit Sadhano Ka Nivaran) Adhiniyam, 2024, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.

The designated courts are located in Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Indore, and will be headed by District and Additional Sessions Judges Praveen Patel, Vishal Akhand, Anand Kumar Sehlam, and Dr. Shubhra Singh, respectively.

The initiative aims to maintain the integrity and transparency of public examinations and ensure speedy disposal of related cases.

Each Special Fast Track Court will have jurisdiction over its designated district and adjoining areas.

The High Court has instructed the Principal District and Sessions Judges to ensure that the designated courts complete trials and deliver judgments within three months of the charge sheet submission.
