Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Performs Umrah In Mecca

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif performed Umrah on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, alongside a high-level delegation including Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The delegation, which arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, was received by Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi. They visited Masjid al-Haram, where they offered prayers and performed the Islamic pilgrimage.

During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif prayed for Pakistan's peace, stability, economic prosperity, and the well-being of its people. The delegation also offered special prayers for the Muslim world. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Atta Tarar, and others.
