Bhiwandi Dahi Handi 2026 Offers Lakhs in Prizes

Bhiwandi is gearing up for its 19th Dahi Handi celebration, with the Kapil Patil Foundation announcing cash prizes running into lakhs of rupees for participating Govinda teams. The event, being organised jointly by the Kapil Patil Foundation, Samanvay Yuva Pratishthan, Sanskar Pratishthan, and late Kiran Deshmukh Mitra Mandal, will take place at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk.

The main Dahi Handi prize has been fixed at ₹2.83 lakh. Teams successfully forming five, six, seven, and eight tiers will receive cash prizes of ₹5,000, ₹7,000, ₹10,000, and ₹50,000, respectively. Two ambulances and a medical team comprising doctors will remain stationed at the venue to respond to any emergency during the celebrations.
