5,000+ Devotees Join 12-Km Kanwar Yatra in MP's Sironj

Over 5,000 residents of Sironj, including Kanwaris, participated in the Kanwar Yatra held on Monday.

The Yatra began at 12 noon from the Hajipur Nageshwar Temple and the Agricultural Market premises.

The procession, which stretched over four kilometres at its peak, was accompanied by the sounds of drumbeats, devotional songs, and chants of Vedic hymns.

As the Kanwar Yatra reached Aaron Road, the number of devotees increased, with many more joining in to undertake the 12-kilometre-long journey to the ancient Shiva temple in Devpur.

The devotees, carrying saffron flags, chanted slogans in praise of Lord Shiva, showcasing their devotion and faith.

A large number of policemen were deployed to maintain law and order during the procession.
