Western Railway GM Hoists National Flag on Independence Day

The 80th Independence Day of India was commemorated at Western Railway with a flag-hoisting ceremony by General Manager Ramashray Pandey at the Western Railway Headquarters in Churchgate.

On this occasion, Pandey inspected the ceremonial parade of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and addressed the gathering, extending his greetings to the railwaymen and their families.

The function was attended by Ajoy Sadany, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner of Western Railway, Smt. Sujata Pandey, President of Western Railway's Women Welfare Organization (WRWWO), and other senior railway officers.

In his Independence Day message, Pandey briefed the gathering about the achievements and milestones accomplished by Western Railway recently. He emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the valiant spirit of freedom fighters and martyrs to serve and build a better future for the country.

On this occasion, Smt. Sujata Pandey, President of WRWWO, and other members of the organization donated essential utility items to the T-55 Building under Jagjivan Ram Hospital (JRH), which accommodates railway employees and their family members undergoing treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital.

The donated items included chairs, tables, water purifiers, wheelchairs, and refrigerators. Additionally, water purifiers and a microwave oven were donated to Jagjivan Ram Hospital.

The donated items were handed over to Dr. Jyotsana Chopra, Principal Chief Medical Director of Western Railway.
