UP Cabinet Approves ₹5 Crore For Bharatiya Gyan Parampara Research

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the establishment of Bharatiya Gyan Parampara Samvardhan Shodhpeeth in the state's universities and colleges. The decision aims to promote the study, research, and dissemination of ideas of pioneers of Bharatiya Gyan Parampara and great thinkers of knowledge and science.

Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay stated that the National Education Policy-2020 places special emphasis on strengthening the Indian Knowledge System. The Shodhpeeths will help connect Bharatiya knowledge with higher education and promote awareness of rationality, scientific temperament, and global relevance among students and research scholars.

The State Government will provide a one-time grant of up to ₹2 crore for a period of five years for the establishment of each Shodhpeeth.
