Pithampur Gets ?850 Crore Boost with German Tech

Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh is set to play a significant role in meeting the country's needs for green energy and digital connectivity. Two state-of-the-art units have been set up by the Pratap Group with an investment of ?850 crore in the Smart Industrial Park.

The units, which include a Battery Energy Storage System and an Optical Fibre Manufacturing unit, were inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. According to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, battery storage is one of the biggest needs today, and the unit launched in Pithampur is an important step towards meeting the country's growing green energy requirements. The Pratap Group's initiatives are already providing direct and indirect employment to nearly 30,000 people.

Madhya Pradesh has vast potential for industrial growth due to its adequate power, water, raw materials, better road and logistics infrastructure, and expressway connectivity. The state government's top priority is to provide maximum employment opportunities to youth and strengthen the economy.

The Battery Energy Storage System unit has a production capacity of 3 GWh and uses Industry 4.0-based automation and robotic assembly lines. The batteries will be manufactured using energy from natural sources, and the unit will create around 250 direct and indirect jobs.

The Optical Fibre manufacturing plant has an annual production capacity of 5.5 million fibre kilometres and will provide around 300 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The optical fibre will be used in broadband connectivity, 5G networks, FTTH, data centres, smart cities, defence, and other strategic communication infrastructure.

The setting up of these units is a significant step towards strengthening the country's digital connectivity and communication framework and accelerating the goals of Digital India, Make in India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The total proposed investment by the Pratap Group in Pithampur is over ?1,140 crore. The group's initiatives will not only provide employment opportunities but also contribute to the country's growing needs for green energy and digital connectivity.

In the long run, the development of Pithampur as a hub for green energy and digital connectivity will have a significant impact on the country's economy and growth. It will also provide opportunities for youth to receive training in modern technology and contribute to the country's industrial growth.

Overall, the inauguration of the two units in Pithampur marks a significant milestone in the country's journey towards becoming a hub for green energy and digital connectivity.

The development of Pithampur as a major industrial hub will also have a positive impact on the local economy and will provide opportunities for the local population to benefit from the growth and development of the region.
