Collector Sets Deadline For Pending Complaints

In a significant move, Jhabua Collector Dr Yogesh Tukaram Bharsat has set a deadline for the disposal of pending public grievances in the district. On Monday, he chaired a review meeting where he instructed officials to clear 1,392 pending complaints within a week. The Collector warned that negligence in grievance redressal would not be tolerated and directed departments to take immediate action.

Dr Bharsat also launched the 'Sickle Mitra' initiative, which aims to appoint a volunteer for every sickle cell patient in the district. The initiative seeks to provide assistance to patients with treatment, welfare schemes, counselling, and healthcare services. Currently, 290 volunteers have been enrolled under the programme. The Collector urged officials and citizens to come forward and become Sickle Mitras to support the district's 1,950 sickle cell patients.

The Collector's directives come as part of a broader effort to improve accountability across departments and ensure time-bound disposal of public grievances. He also reviewed the progress of various initiatives, including Anganwadi buildings, nutrition gardens, education, and the Jal Jeevan Mission. Additionally, Dr Bharsat warned of strict action against irregularities in gram panchayats and held social auditors equally accountable.

In a separate event, the District Central Cooperative Bank, Jhabua, hosted a telecast of the concluding fifth Foundation Day of the national-level 'Sahkar Se Samriddhi' programme. The event brought together farmers, depositors, and cooperative members to watch the live telecast from Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Bank officials informed participants about cooperative welfare schemes and encouraged farmers to utilise cooperative institutions and digital services more effectively.

The Collector's initiatives are expected to have a significant impact on the district's residents, particularly those affected by sickle cell disease. The 'Sickle Mitra' programme, in particular, has the potential to provide much-needed support to patients and their families. As the district moves forward with these initiatives, it remains to be seen how effectively they will be implemented and what benefits they will bring to the community.

In the coming weeks, the Collector's office is expected to monitor the progress of the pending complaints and the 'Sickle Mitra' initiative. The district administration will also continue to work towards improving accountability and ensuring that public grievances are addressed in a timely manner. With these efforts, the district is taking significant steps towards improving the lives of its residents and providing them with better access to services and support.

The launch of the 'Sickle Mitra' initiative and the setting of a deadline for pending complaints are significant developments in the district's efforts to improve public services. As the district continues to work towards these goals, it is likely that there will be further updates and announcements in the coming weeks. For now, the focus remains on implementing these initiatives effectively and ensuring that they bring tangible benefits to the community.

The Collector's office has stated that it will continue to work towards improving public services and addressing the needs of the district's residents. With the launch of the 'Sickle Mitra' initiative and the setting of a deadline for pending complaints, the district is taking significant steps towards achieving these goals. As the situation develops, Mumbai Alert News will provide further updates and information on these initiatives and their impact on the community.
