PM-YASASVI Scholarship Offers Up To Rs 1.25 Lakh To OBC, EBC, DNT Students

The Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM-YASASVI) has been launched to provide financial support to students from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT) communities.

The scholarship program aims to provide high-quality educational options to these students while reducing their financial burden. Students in classes 9 and 10 will receive Rs 75,000 annually, while those in classes 11 and 12 will receive Rs 1,25,000 annually.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, hostel fees, and other institutional fees. To be eligible, applicants must be Indian citizens belonging to the OBC, EBC, or DNT categories, and their annual family income must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.

Applicants must be studying in classes 9 to 12 or enrolled in a full-time course after class 12. A maximum of two siblings from the same family can receive the scholarship.

To apply, students need to provide various documents, including a valid Aadhaar card, income certificate, caste or community certificate, and previous academic year marksheet. They also need to have an Aadhaar-linked bank account and provide passport-size photographs and domicile or residence certificates.

The application process involves registering on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) website, filling up the Yasasvi scheme's NSP registration form, and submitting the required documents.
