Goa Police Question Student Protest Organisers

Superintendent of Police (North Goa) Harischandra Madkaikar stated that the investigation was initiated based on a complaint filed by a group. He added that the questions asked were part of the investigation and that the organisers were allowed to leave after the interrogation.

Umar Khalid has been arrested in a case related to the 2020 northeast Delhi riots. The Goa police had previously detained two youths for allegedly expressing support for Khalid during celebrations over a government official's resignation.
