Navi Mumbai: 3-Year-Old Boy Murdered By Stepfather

He took the child to the Indira Gandhi Rural Hospital in Uran, where doctors examined him at around 4 pm and declared him dead.

The accused allegedly then tried to arrange the funeral without informing the police or allowing a post-mortem examination. However, his suspicious conduct prompted the Mora Coastal Police to intervene.

The police took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination, initially registering an accidental death case. An advance death certificate received from the hospital on August 15 mentioned severe head injuries and fractured ribs, pointing towards death caused by assault.
