AC Technician Falls to Death from 11th Floor in Bandra BKC

A 27-year-old air-conditioning technician, Ziyadul Shamshujuha Huda, died after falling from the 11th floor of a 29-storey building in the Ten BKC complex in Bandra Kalanagar on Saturday. The incident occurred at 12:30 pm when Huda was fitting an outdoor AC unit outside a window.

The Kherwadi police have detained two individuals, supervisor Indrajit Chauhan and AC contractor Tashvar Ali Ibbarat Ali Mansuri, for alleged negligence. According to the police, the duo claimed that Huda had been provided with a safety harness, but it is unclear whether he had fastened it properly or if Chauhan and Mansuri checked it before assigning the work.

Huda was wearing a safety belt but not a helmet at the time of the incident. His co-worker, Atikur Rehman Mohammad Sagir Mansuri, who was assisting him, told the police that Huda lost his balance and fell. A pedestrian alerted a patrolling police vehicle, which rushed to the scene.
