According to the Raidurgam Police, a 30-35 year old pedestrian was initially hit by an Innova Crysta while crossing the road. The driver of the Innova, 21-year-old Zaydshah Kadri, and another person attempted to take the injured pedestrian to the hospital. However, while they were on their way, two unidentified cars travelling at high speed hit them, resulting in the pedestrian's death on the spot.

The Innova driver, Zaydshah Kadri, sustained a leg fracture and was admitted to CARE Hospitals, Gachibowli, for treatment. The police investigation led to the identification of Sandeep as one of the accused, who was driving a Mahindra XUV electric vehicle at the time of the incident. He was subsequently arrested by the Raidurgam Police.
