Arunachal Pradesh Hit By 5.1-Magnitude Earthquake

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district on Thursday at 5.45 am. The earthquake had a depth of 11 km and its epicentre was located 116 km north-northwest of Pangin.

The 5.1-magnitude earthquake was preceded by three smaller tremors in the early hours of Thursday. A 2.8-magnitude tremor struck at 3.40 am, followed by a 3.2-magnitude quake at 3.55 am and another 2.8-magnitude tremor at 4.34 am.

After the 5.1-magnitude earthquake, another tremor measuring 3.5 magnitude was recorded at 7.17 am. The series of tremors indicates sustained seismic activity in the region over several hours.
