CAG Finds Poor Planning in Rurban Mission

Only 13.14% of the funds were utilized from the Critical Gap Fund (CGF), indicating a greater dependence on convergence resources and limited utilization of CGF funds.

The National Rurban Mission was launched by the Government of India in February 2016, with the objective of providing rural areas with economic development and enhanced enforcement of land reforms. Madhya Pradesh had selected 19 growth clusters comprising 167 gram panchayats for project implementation over a five-year period.
