Deputy Speaker Orders Fair Rehabilitation For 'Ajitsrushti' Project

Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Anna Bansode has directed the administration to ensure fair and transparent rehabilitation of residents affected by the proposed 'Ajitsrushti' memorial project in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The project, which aims to commemorate the life and contributions of the late Ajitdada Pawar, is planned on a reserved plot in Chinchwad.

Bansode chaired a review meeting at Vidhan Bhavan on Thursday, where she assessed the progress of the project and focused on the rehabilitation of families currently residing on the land.

Officials informed her that the land is occupied by residential settlements and preliminary arrangements for rehabilitating eligible residents have been made by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in the Shahunagar area.

Bansode instructed officials to implement the rehabilitation process in a people-centric manner, taking all stakeholders into confidence and providing alternative accommodation to every eligible resident in accordance with the rules.

She stressed that the rights of affected families must be protected throughout the process and construction work on the project should commence only after the rehabilitation process has been completed.

The meeting was attended by officials from MIDC, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, and local residents, who discussed various aspects of the rehabilitation plan and the project's future implementation.

The 'Ajitsrushti' project is planned on a plot earmarked for a tourism centre under Reservation No. 301 in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation's development plan.

The project's progress and rehabilitation process will be closely monitored to ensure that the rights of affected residents are protected.

The Maharashtra government has been focusing on various development projects in the state, including the 'Ajitsrushti' project, which is expected to boost tourism and economic growth in the region.

The Deputy Speaker's directive ensures that the rehabilitation process is carried out in a fair and transparent manner, with no injustice to any eligible resident.

This move is significant as it prioritizes the welfare of affected residents and ensures that their rights are protected throughout the process.

In conclusion, the 'Ajitsrushti' project is an important development initiative in Maharashtra, and the Deputy Speaker's directive will ensure that the rehabilitation process is carried out in a people-centric and systematic manner.
