Ayodhya Ram Temple Sees Surge in Gold, Silver Donations

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya has witnessed a significant increase in gold and silver donations over the past 10 days, with nearly one kilogram of gold and around three kilograms of silver being offered by devotees. The majority of the donations have been in the form of gold and silver jewellery, coins, and other valuable items. The temple has seven donation counters and 33 donation boxes across the complex, and devotees making contributions at the counters are issued receipts immediately.

The growing number of pilgrims visiting the temple has translated into a corresponding rise in offerings, both in cash and precious metals. On Wednesday, around 75,000 devotees visited the shrine, while on Thursday, the number rose to nearly 1.25 lakh. The temple authorities are preparing for the annual Jhulanotsav and Shravan celebrations, which will include daily Jhula Darshan, devotional music, and Kajri performances.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has entrusted its Dharma Committee with preparing the schedule of religious programmes to be held inside the temple complex. The committee is finalising a detailed calendar that will include various events and activities during the Shravan celebrations.
