Yogi Cabinet Approves ₹1,008-Crore Expressway and Ex-Agniveer Quota

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, approved 23 important proposals related to development and public welfare on Tuesday. The decisions included proposals such as the Chitrakoot Link Expressway, developing council schools into smart schools, and reserving seats for ex-Agniveers in government recruitment.

The Chitrakoot Link Expressway, estimated to cost ₹1,008.67 crore, will be a 15.172-km-long, access-controlled, six-lane greenfield expressway. The project will improve travel from Bundelkhand to Chitrakoot Dham and boost tourism. The state government will bear the entire cost of the project and invite a global bid to select the construction agency.

The Cabinet also approved a proposal to develop council primary schools under the Basic Education Council as smart schools. This will help improve the education system in government primary schools and provide students with modern educational facilities.

In addition, the government decided to provide long-term loans to small and marginal farmers at a concessional interest rate under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana. Farmers will be provided loans of up to ₹6 lakh for a long period at an annual interest rate of 6%.

The Yogi Cabinet also approved a proposal to reserve 20% of posts for ex-Agniveers in the direct recruitment of Uttar Pradesh Jail Wardens. Ex-Agniveers will also be provided 20% horizontal reservation and relaxation in the age limit in the direct recruitment of Enforcement Constables (Transport).

Other important decisions included providing cashless treatment to Provincial Armed Constabulary (PRD) volunteers and their dependent family members under the Mukhyamantri PRD Cashless Chikitsa Yojana. The Cabinet also approved the Uttar Pradesh Toy Manufacturing Promotion Policy-2025, which will help promote the toy manufacturing industry in the state, attract investment, and increase employment opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, who shared details of the approved proposals at a press conference. The decisions taken by the Cabinet are expected to improve infrastructure, education, employment, agriculture, healthcare, and industrial development in the state.

The approval of the Chitrakoot Link Expressway and other proposals is a significant step towards developing the state's infrastructure and promoting economic growth. The reservation of seats for ex-Agniveers in government recruitment is also a notable decision, as it will provide employment opportunities to youth who have completed their military service.

Overall, the decisions taken by the Yogi Cabinet are expected to have a positive impact on the state's development and public welfare. The implementation of these proposals will be closely watched, and their effectiveness will be evaluated in the coming months.

The Uttar Pradesh government's focus on development and public welfare is evident from the proposals approved by the Cabinet. The state's efforts to improve infrastructure, education, and employment opportunities are likely to benefit its citizens and contribute to its economic growth.

In conclusion, the Yogi Cabinet's approval of 23 proposals, including the Chitrakoot Link Expressway and ex-Agniveer quota, is a significant development for the state of Uttar Pradesh. The implementation of these proposals will be crucial in achieving the state's development goals and improving the lives of its citizens.
