Indore Man Arrested Over Mule Account Linked To Cyber Frauds

A 19-year-old man from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, was arrested by the city crime branch for his alleged involvement in cyber frauds. The arrest was made under Operation Matrix, a drive against mule accounts suspected of being used in cybercrimes.

Police suspect that the account was used for transactions involving cyber fraud proceeds and are probing the role of others. The account was linked to complaints from Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan, among other states.

Additional DCP (Crime) Rajesh Dandotiya said that the investigation was based on bank records, technical evidence, and cyber fraud complaints. A case has been registered against Panwar and other suspects.

This is the second arrest made by the crime branch in connection with mule accounts. On Wednesday, an MBA student was arrested after his bank account was linked to cyber fraud.
