AISA Launches Mumbai College Survey

The Mumbai chapter of All India Students’ Association (AISA) has launched a citywide college survey to assess infrastructure, academic practices, and students’ experiences across higher education institutions.

The survey aims to evaluate the condition of colleges in Mumbai, focusing on basic facilities such as clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, as well as academic freedom, placement opportunities, and evaluation systems.

Gaurav Singh, a member of AISA, stated that the organization will compile a report based on the survey findings and submit it to the college administration and respective authorities to improve infrastructure and academic needs.

The first phase of the survey covers 10 major Mumbai colleges and institutions, including Elphinstone College, St Xavier’s College, and the University of Mumbai. Students from these institutions have been asked to complete an online questionnaire detailing the conditions at their colleges.

AISA plans to expand the exercise by involving student representatives from individual campuses, who will help circulate the survey, collect information, and bring college-specific issues to the organization’s attention.
