Apollo Pipes Invests ₹300 Crore in Tiles Market

Apollo Pipes has approved an investment of up to ₹300 crore to enter the tiles and ceramics market. The company's board cleared the proposal at its meeting on 31 August 2026, according to a filing submitted to the BSE and National Stock Exchange.

The investment will be routed through one or more subsidiaries proposed to be incorporated by Apollo Pipes. These entities will manufacture, trade, market and distribute tiles, ceramics and allied products. The plan also permits contract manufacturing and the acquisition of operational, profitable manufacturing businesses.

Managing Director Sameer Gupta and Joint Managing Director Arun Agarwal have been authorised to complete the required steps. They will decide the structure and timing of the investment, incorporate the proposed subsidiaries and take other necessary actions within the board-approved ₹300-crore ceiling.

To raise funds for the expansion, Apollo Pipes plans to issue up to 31 lakh fully convertible warrants at ₹610 each to eight identified non-promoter investors for cash. The proposed issue, aggregating up to ₹189.10 crore, requires shareholder and statutory and regulatory approvals.

The company plans to increase its authorised share capital from ₹50 crore to ₹60 crore to accommodate shares issued after warrant conversion. The capital clause in the memorandum of association will also be amended, subject to members' approval.

Upon full conversion, the eight proposed investors will hold 6.31 percent of the company on a fully diluted basis. AGDG Enterprises LLP will hold the largest portion at 2.44 percent, followed by Rachita Gupta at 1.63 percent.

Apollo Pipes' expansion into the tiles market is a significant move for the company, which has been focused on pipes and fittings. The investment is expected to help the company diversify its product offerings and increase its market share.

The tiles market in India is growing rapidly, driven by increasing demand for housing and infrastructure development. Apollo Pipes' entry into this market is expected to provide a boost to the company's revenue and profitability.

The company's decision to raise funds through a preferential warrant issue is also a positive move, as it will help to bring in new investors and provide liquidity to the company's shares.

Overall, Apollo Pipes' expansion into the tiles market is a significant development for the company and its investors. It is expected to provide a boost to the company's growth and profitability in the coming years.

The Indian tiles market is highly competitive, with several established players. However, Apollo Pipes' strong brand presence and distribution network are expected to help the company to establish itself in the market.

The company's focus on quality and innovation is also expected to help it to differentiate itself from its competitors and establish a strong presence in the market.

In conclusion, Apollo Pipes' investment in the tiles market is a significant move for the company, and is expected to provide a boost to its revenue and profitability. The company's strong brand presence, distribution network and focus on quality and innovation are expected to help it to establish itself in the market and achieve its growth objectives.
