Thieves Burglarize Teacher's House in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A daring daylight burglary occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, where two thieves broke into a teacher's house and escaped with gold jewellery weighing around three to three-and-a-half tolas.

The incident took place at Sara Green Society in CIDCO Waluj Mahanagar-1, where the teacher, Avinash Suradkar, lives with his wife and daughter. Suradkar, an art teacher, had left for school at 7:30 am, while his wife locked the house and left for work at around 9:30 am. Their daughter had gone to her grandmother's house, leaving the house unoccupied.

The thieves arrived at the society on a two-wheeler at around 2:50 pm and broke the door lock using a cutter. They then entered the house, ransacked it, and stole the gold jewellery kept in a cupboard. The entire theft was completed within 15 minutes, and the suspects fled on their two-wheeler.

The MIDC Waluj police were informed about the burglary and rushed to the spot to inspect the premises. They examined the CCTV footage from the society, which captured the suspects arriving and leaving on their two-wheeler. The police are currently in the process of registering a case.
