A road trip turned into a frightening experience for three women on the Ranchi-Tata Highway in Jharkhand on Tuesday afternoon. The women alleged that occupants of a Scorpio SUV chased, threatened, and attacked them after a minor collision.
The women, who wish to remain anonymous, claimed that the SUV occupants pursued their vehicle, blocked their path, and attempted to force open the doors. The accused also hurled stones that shattered a window, injuring their driver, Ranveer Singh.
According to the victims, the incident occurred around 12.27 pm near Dasham Fall on the national highway. The women alleged that the SUV driver caused the accident and instead of resolving the matter peacefully, the occupants began arguing aggressively.
The women claimed that the Scorpio continued to pursue them for several kilometres, trying to cut them off and prevent them from driving away safely. The driver attempted to escape by reversing the car and driving in the opposite direction, but the SUV allegedly continued following them.
The accused eventually blocked the road and tried to open the driver's side door by force. When they were unable to gain access, they allegedly picked up stones and attacked the vehicle, breaking the driver's side window and injuring the driver.
A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the accused attempting to intimidate the occupants and throwing stones before fleeing as local residents gathered at the spot.
The incident has raised concerns about law and order in the area, with many calling for immediate attention to ensure the safety of visitors and residents
