Maharashtra Unveils 55-Tonne Electric Trucks

Maharashtra on Monday unveiled a new range of battery-electric trucks, with capacities ranging from 7 to 55 tonnes, as part of its efforts to promote cleaner and more sustainable commercial transport.

The trucks, designed and developed by Indian engineers in Pune, offer a range of up to 350 km on a single charge, along with fast-charging capability. Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik described the move as a major step towards achieving the Centre's 2070 net-zero target.
