CM Yogi Honours Anganwadi Workers, Releases ₹29.11 Crore DBT

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honoured Anganwadi workers, helpers, and supervisors in Ayodhya under the 'Anganwadi Ki Awaaz Swasth Bachcha-Shikshit Samaj' initiative. The event took place on September 08 in Ayodhya, where the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to newly appointed Anganwadi workers and helpers, as well as cheques for increased honorarium.

The Chief Minister also released ₹29.11 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for sarees to 2,51,162 Anganwadi workers and helpers. This initiative aims to support and empower Anganwadi workers who play a crucial role in providing nutrition, education, and women's welfare services.

During the program, the 'Naveen Take Home Ration' (THR) Coffee Table Book was also released. The book highlights the importance of nutrition and health services provided by Anganwadi workers. The Chief Minister also honoured meritorious children who achieved normal nutritional status from the severely malnourished category, as well as children who excelled in academics.

The event also saw the distribution of pre-school kits to 1,250 Anganwadi centers in the district, worth ₹2 crore, through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by IRFC, New Delhi. Additionally, scholarships were provided to 5,000 girl students under the Jagmag Ayodhya program by Bharat Cares.
