FSSAI Acts Against Bengaluru Firm Over Misbranded Infant Food

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has taken enforcement action against Bengaluru-based British Lifesciences Private Limited for allegedly producing and distributing misbranded and expired infant food products.

The action was taken after an inspection by FSSAI officials, who identified and seized a substantial quantity of misbranded infant food products under the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

According to FSSAI, the inspection was part of a larger enforcement drive focused on ensuring that food products meant for infants and young children comply with prescribed safety, quality, and labelling standards.
