Odisha Crime Branch Probes Textbook Irregularities

The Crime Branch of Odisha Police has taken over the investigation into irregularities in the preparation and publication of school textbooks for Classes I to VIII.

The case was registered on Monday, based on a complaint by Madhusmita Sahoo, Director of Teacher Education and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). The registration of the case follows a directive from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to conduct a criminal investigation into the matter.
